Yesterday, we decided to spend the night in Bakasyunan Resort. The heat in Manila was just too much and a day in an airconditioned room plus a pool nearby seemed the perfect solution . The Main building is called the Mansion. It was probably a Vacation House of a rich family.  Check In was fast, after paying for the room (Private Room Good for 2 - P2,500) we were given the Key. The room we got was pretty basic but i was surprised that it had a TV! The bed was a bit small for a queen, there was a mini ref too plus a small table for eating.  The bathroom surprisingly had a bidet! The hot shower was not working though. I went around and explored the place. Aside from the pool near the Mansion there was another pool further down, beside the bigger rooms. It was a joy to soak in the pool, the wind blowing from the mountains was an added treat too.  Bakasyunan is located in Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal.

Our favorite Restaurant for the past 15 years. Bulawan never fails to satisfy our stomachs. Yesterday we visited bulawan for the nth time and ordered the following: Chili Crab, Crispy Kangkong and kilawin plus Buko Juice. Bulawan's Chil Crab Kilawin Crispy Kangkong As usual the Chili Crab and Kilawin were just delicious. The crispy kangkong was delicious too!! Bulawan is located along Manila East Road in Pilila, Rizal

Whenever i have a Korean BBQ Craving we go to Min Sok in Makati. Yesterday we had lunch at Min Sok. I ordered the Samgyupsal (which is pork) and a beef dish.  We were served Cold Towels to freshen up. After a few minutes the appetizers were served (kimchi, tofu, beans, etc). Then the meats arrived. Then the veggies and the free soup. Everything as usual was delicious, the owner is very gracious too. Min Sok is located at 5655 Don Pedro Street cor Jacobo Street , Poblacion, Makati.

The last time i was in Cebu i was looking for Mrs U Sylvannas but ended up with Nena Montenegro's Sylvannas (Tojong Street). This time i called up the number of Mrs U which was featured in Market Manila. The pick up place was in Banilad but when i told the girl i was talking to that i will be bringing it to Manila, she offered that they have it at the Island's Souvenirs in Mactan. I told the girl i was talking to that i will just buy it from there. So i got my Sylvannas at Island Souvenirs. Priced at 230 for the big and 215 for the small size.  When we got to the hotel i got a piece. But was not impressed. The Sylvannas had partially melted so i thought that that was the reason that i was not impressed. I just said to myself that i will just taste it again when we get home. When we got home i placed the Sylvannas in the freezer. After few hours i tasted a piece. Still i was not impressed but it was better though. Still the best Sylvannas for me...

I cannot remember the last time i had this. Yesterday i was able to taste this again and it was just heavenly. The Mango Cream Pie had the just right amount of sweetness. The Mango Slices on top was just priceless. This is available until June 30 only. Whole pies is P550 and available in Red Ribbon Branches Nationwide.

Le Ching has always been my favorite. Before i got to know Singapore's Chicken Rice, there was Le Ching's Chicken Rice. Le Ching's Chicken Rice is served in Stainless Steel Bowls. Rice topped with delicious chicken pieces with mushroom then dipped in their Chili with Soy Sauce and Calamansi. Just delicious. Aside from the Chicken Rice we would also order their congee. Though not as good as Congee from other Chinese Restaurants though. And lately i have been ordering their Sesame Balls. Delicious balls with a sweet mongo filling. Le Ching is located in Greenhills. They have another branch in Quezon City.

We had an early lunch at Jade Palace today. I ordered their Chicken with Black Mushroom Rice, Beef Siomai and Chicken Feet. The Chicken with Black Mushroom rice was so so. Did not enjoy it really as i was expecting something like Le Ching's Chicken Rice. the Chicken feet was delicious. The beef siomai was okay too.
