Tapsi ni Vivian for Breakfast, Bulawan for Lunch

We had breakfast at Tapsi Ni Vivian in Marikina. They have moved to a much bigger lot since the last time we ate there. Their Restaurant now is classier and modern compared to the old one. I ordered their Tapsilog while M ordered the Soup #5. I could not remember how their Tapsilog tasted like before but before I remembered to take a picture of the Tapsilog it was almost finished. So no use in taking a picture of a plate that is almost 75% finished. I really cannot compare their Tapsilog with others since I think they are almost all the same but this one I liked, the cut of beef was just right, tender and cut into small pieces. The rice was good too. It must have been good since I finished the whole plate off. The Soup #5, the broth tasted good, and since I am not really a fan of Soup #5 could not comment any further.

For Lunch, it was off to Bulawan again. This time we ordered the following.

Crispy Pata - was not as good as the ones before, but still good. The skin could have been fried more.

Kalereta - my new favorite dish. Delicious as usual, and again with Olives to add that extra falvor.

Kilawin Tanigue - Made more appealing for me with the tons of Onion added!

Sinigang na Hipon - They used fresh shrimps and the soup was soured just right.







Tapsi ni Vivian (Open 24 Hours) is located at Gil Fernando Avenue, Marikina City while Bulawan Restaurant is located in Pilila Laguna.

One of Metro Manila's BEST Crispy Pata can be found in a Garage. I found about Aling Pining's Crispy Pata in a FB Comment a few months ago. D' Original Matutina's Seafood Restaurant (Dagupan, Pangasinan)

The first time I heard about Matutina's was a few years ago when it was mentioned in the Inquirer that it is a favorite Restaurant of Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Since it was a long drive just to sample their food I had a hard time adjusting an open schedule just to go all the way to Pangasinan.  This morning we were able to finally find time to go all the way to Dagupan, Pangasinan to sample Matutina's. The one we went to is the D'Original Matutina's in Tondaligan, Dagupan, Pangasinan. They have another branch in Urdaneta Also. There is a Matutina's in Tarlac City but i guess this is not connected with the Matutina's. We Ordered the following: Sizzling Bangus - This was just Delicious. The Bangus was Milky. Gaston Mansion @ Hacienda Sta Rosalia, Manapla, Negros Occidental

The Gaston Mansion in Hacienda Sta Rosalia located in Manapla was used as the Mansion of the Lorenzo's and referred to as Hacienda Lorenzo in the 1980's Film, Oro Plata Mata. The Gaston Mansion is not as opulent and ostentatious as the other Ancestral Houses in Silay or Talisay Cities. The rooms are small compared to the other Mansions in Silay or Talisay. It definitely was a Countryhome for the Gaston's. --oo00oo-- Facade of the Gaston Mansion at Hacienda Sta Rosalia Eversince I saw this Mansion in Oro Plata Mata i was intrigued as to where this Mansion was. I was in luck as it was in the list of Tours Offered by Next Stop Negros.
