Tacloban Day Trip

My Best Buddy and Driver M would be turning a year older tomorrow so as an Early Birthday gift I decided to treat him to a Birthday Lunch at Rafael Farm in Leyte!! It was a Promo ticket of Cebu Pacific, so why not go?? We both wanted to see Tacloban also so what better timing.

Upon arrival at Tacloban we were greeted by Taxi Drivers, Van drivers who were asking where we were going. We finally chose Mr. Dewey Chua. He charged us 2000 for the whole day trip that will take us to Rafael Farm, San Juanico Bridge and tour of Tacloban City.

This is the Daniel Z Romualdez Airport. Typical Small Airport you can find in the provinces

The first stop on our Day Trip was the MacArthur Park in Palo Leyte. This is where you will find the MacArthur landing Statue. Beside the MacArthur Park is the MacArthur Park Hotel. Which as of now is closed. It was purportedly bought by a Singaporean Businessman.

After Palo, Leyte. We went to look at San Juanico Bridge. This bridge connects Samar with Leyte and is the longest in South East Asia. It was built by the Japanese during the time of President Ferdinand Marcos and First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos. It is a beautiful sight to behold.

After the San Juanico Viewing it was now time for Lunch at Rafael Farm.
