Friends and Neighbors (Makati)


Friends and Neighbors has been around quite some time. This was one of my sister's favorite restaurants when she was still in Manila.



Yesterday, after a delayed flight we stopped at Friends and Neighbors for a very late lunch.

We ordered the following Laing, kinilaw na bangus, pork with mushroom and a soup dish which i forgot what it was (?!).

The pork with mushroom was as usual satisfying and filling. The gravy was as delicious as the last time i had it. The laing and kilawin were good too.





Prices at Friends and Neighbors are affordable. The staff are very courteous and efficient.

Friends and Neighbors is located along P. Burgos Street, Makati. Fronting Sts Peter and Paul Church.

One of Metro Manila's BEST Crispy Pata can be found in a Garage. I found about Aling Pining's Crispy Pata in a FB Comment a few months ago. Bacolod's Central Market (Bacolod, Negros Occidental)

I have been to Bacolod countless times already but it was only last March 10, 2011 that i got the chance to visit Bacolod's Central Market. From what i saw and remember what was written on the Marker of the Central Market, it was built in 1938 by a certain Don De La Rama.  The Central Market is located in the center of Bacolod and can entered from 4 streets, namely Gatuslao, Gonzaga, Luzuriaga and Bonifacio Streets. We went straight to the meat section of the Central Market to look for Longaniza (Chorizo is how they call it in Negros). The Longaniza we were looking for is the small one, we bought some Longaniza before in Talisay and it was very delicious and we were hoping that they would have it too in Bacolod.  We found a Longaniza stall in the Meat Section, it was being sold for P25.00 for a Dozen. Tita Lulu's Pancit Palabok (San Juan, Metro Manila)

If you are craving for Palabok and Tokwa't Baboy, the best place to go to is Tita Lulu's.  They serve delicious Palabok at Tita Lulu's (Located in front of PureGold Agora, inside the big parking lot). Always say you want the thin noodles when you order Palabok as it is better. The Tokwa't Baboy is equally delicious. Never forget to buy the palabok and tokwa't baboy together as they complement each other.
