Arabela Restaurant ~ (Liliw, Laguna)

Image
Whenever we are in Liliw, we always stop by at Arabela for food. This is a small Restaurant in Liliw, very quaint and Cozy. The Ceiling is quite low, so if you are a very tall person, be prepared to temporarily duck as you will probably have a hard time standing up straight here. This Restaurant i think was the Bodega of the house and which explains the very low ceiling. Food here is delicious. I usually order their steak whenever i eat here. Their pastries are also very good.

The Air Con is a one stop shop for your souvenirs. Here you can find cheap shirts, cashew nuts, pearls, south sea pearls and a lot more. The Air Con shop featured a BDO Credit Card Logo, so I guess they accept credit cards here. They have South Sea Pearls here also aside from the regular pearls which you can buy even for less than a hundred pesos. All pearl colors can be found here, from black, gold, champagne, white, pink. The Badjao Seafood Restaurant has the distinction of being the only restaurant that Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom visited when he visited Palawan several Years ago and they proudly advertise it too as the picture of the prince at Badjao is what will greet you when you enter the restaurant. Built on a mangrove. You will cross a wooden bridge to get to Badjao Seafront Restaurant. You will be greeted by an elegant dining area, accented with hanging native lights, wooden tables and chairs. At night you will have a better experience as they also have a piano player. The ambience here is first rate. We ordered the following: Clam Soup - overflowing with clams. Good with just the right hint of garlic and onion taste. They definitely used first rate clams for this soup as the taste was undeniably very clean. Grilled Tanigue - first rate. Fish was super fresh. Very delicious. Butter Garlic Shrimp - Did not pass my standard for Butter Garlic Shrimp. Though the s

Yen Yen Taiwan Street Food (Granada Avenue, Quezon City)

Image
Yen Yen Taiwan Street Food is located along Granada Avenue. Infront of Gilmore Townhomes. Telephone No 345-3219. We ordered the following: Taiwan Pork Chop - Rather Bland tasting for me. I was expecting that this dish would be bursting with flavor and spices but it was not. Crispy Tiger Shrimps - Another bland tasting dish. Definitely needs more flavor and spice to it. Crispy Taoso Steamed Fish - I was wondering why this dish was called crispy?! Can a fish which is steamed by crispy at the same time?! When it realized, maybe what the word crispy referred to was the things on top of the Fish. Anyway, this dish could have been good if it was not too salty. Taiwan Rice Wine Cabbage Taiwanese Fried Rice - hmmmmm All I can say is that I still prefer Yang Chow Fried Rice :-) "Sent via BlackBerry from Smart"

Chicken Charlie (NS Amoranto cor Banawe, Quezon City)

Image
Chicken Charlie as the name suggests, specializes in Chicken dishes. We tried the Soy Garlic Chicken Wings and the Hot Sweet Sauce Chicken Wings, also the Charlies Bowl plus the fries. First to be served was the fries. The fries were delicious, served with the skin which added to its taste. It was not enough and was wiped out after just a few minutes. Next to be served was the Charlies Bowl which is Chopped Chicken pieces with a sweet sauce topped over rice. It was quite good. Finally, the Soy Garlic and Hot Sweet Sauce Chicken Wings were served. To differentiate between the two, toothpick were put on the Hot Sweet Sauce Wings. There is really nothing different between the taste of the 2. But both were very very good. Perfect to be eaten alone or partnered with their fries. Prices are a bit pricey but I will definitely come back for more of these! When ordering the Chicken be prepared to wait 10 minutes or more as they are cooked upon order. When we arrived we were the
