Castle Kaunan Sutukil (Masbate City)

I saw Castle Kaunan Sutukil when the Van we took going to Aroroy passed by it this morning (8.13.14) so when we went back to Masbate City we went there for lunch.

There are 2 dining areas. The Aircon and Non Aircon. There are ready to eat meals also which are displayed in a stand but we went for their paluto.

We ordered the following, Sutukil (Inihaw, Tinola and Kilawin), KareKare Seafood, Baked Scallops plus rice and Mango Shake.

First to arrive was the Tinola. It was delicious! The fish was Fresh! And the soup just had the right taste.

Next the Sugba arrived. It was good too plus fresh fish again. It was grilled perfectly, with the fish not being over grilled.

Next the Seafood Kare Kare. I was surprised at this. It was delicious. Something i did not expect at all. It is one of the best kare kare i have tasted. The bagoong was perfect too!!!

Next the Kilawin was served. This again was delicious. One of the best kilawin in my opinion.

Lastly the Baked Scallops arrived. Again another delicious dish.

When we got the bill i was surprised again. Our bill just totalled 670. If you minus the Shake and Extra Rice we got it would just have been a little over 500. Delicious and Very affordable!!

Castle Kaunan is located along the Central Nautical Highway. Near the Masbate Transport Terminal.
