Banyan Tree Macau

I always see Banyan Tree in Magazines and last September 4 i finally got to stay in a Banyan Tree Hotel. 

Banyan Tree Macau is located in the Galaxy Compound. From the Taipa Ferry Terminal we boarded a Galaxy Shuttle Bus. We walked to Banyan Tree and were greeted by hotel staff giving us a thai bow. Check In was fast and efficient. 

Our room boy was a filipino and showed us the features of the room. The room was everything like it was in the pictures and more.

The room had a king size bed with a pool view. It had a big lcd tv. I think it was bigger than 32" and beside it was the bathroom. 


The bathroom boasted of a barrel looking tub. 2 sinks a shower area and a toilet bowl with a automatic bidet! It was my first time to see this so it was really something.





In the living room was the centerpiece of the room. The indoor pool. The indoor pool was more like a tub. The water was automatic. It turned on if it sensed water was lessening.

The Pantry had a complete range of utensils. A hot pot was there too. The choice of tea was extensive. The coffee given was roasted coffee and not just any ordinary coffee.

Overall it was a great stay and would definitely go back.

One of Metro Manila's BEST Crispy Pata can be found in a Garage. I found about Aling Pining's Crispy Pata in a FB Comment a few months ago. With Just Halcon Street as the address we went to La Loma 2 weeks ago in search of Halcon Street Crispy Pata. When we arrived at Halcon Street we just asked the people there where we can buy Crispy Pata. We passed by it already it turned out. It was indeed just a garage. It had a small sign. Halcon Street Crispy Pata was Aling Pinings Crispy Pata.  An Old Lady was the one frying the Crispy Pata. While a middle aged woman  was the one accepting orders. We bought a Crispy Pata (P400) and we were on our way. At home we were eager to finally taste the Crispy Pata. It did not disappoint. The trip to La Loma was worth it. Is it the best? Bacolod's Central Market (Bacolod, Negros Occidental)

I have been to Bacolod countless times already but it was only last March 10, 2011 that i got the chance to visit Bacolod's Central Market. From what i saw and remember what was written on the Marker of the Central Market, it was built in 1938 by a certain Don De La Rama.  The Central Market is located in the center of Bacolod and can entered from 4 streets, namely Gatuslao, Gonzaga, Luzuriaga and Bonifacio Streets. We went straight to the meat section of the Central Market to look for Longaniza (Chorizo is how they call it in Negros). The Longaniza we were looking for is the small one, we bought some Longaniza before in Talisay and it was very delicious and we were hoping that they would have it too in Bacolod.  We found a Longaniza stall in the Meat Section, it was being sold for P25.00 for a Dozen. We bought several to take home. We also bought some Batuan at the nearby stall for P80.00 a Kilo.  We were also looking for Kuakoy. We found it being sold by an old lady just outsid

Tita Lulu's Pancit Palabok (San Juan, Metro Manila)

If you are craving for Palabok and Tokwa't Baboy, the best place to go to is Tita Lulu's.  They serve delicious Palabok at Tita Lulu's (Located in front of PureGold Agora, inside the big parking lot). Always say you want the thin noodles when you order Palabok as it is better. The Tokwa't Baboy is equally delicious. Never forget to buy the palabok and tokwa't baboy together as they complement each other.
