Puerto Princesa Palawan in 3D/2N

1st Day - Manila to Puerto, Cathedral, Museum, Bakers Hill, Churches

We left the house a little bit past five and arrived around 540am. There were a lot of available parking spaces so we were able to park immediately.

The Newly Renovated NAIA 4

Checked in via the 2D Barcode i got from AIR ASIA when i did an Online Check In and in less than 5 minutes we were in the Gate.

They changed the procedure now. They will check your id at the kiosk and if you do not have check in you can proceed to the departure gate. They probably got complaints with the procedure before wherein you need to go to the check in counter to show your id.

The Airport has been renovated and it looks so much better. The aircon units are new so it was cold inside the airport.

Boarding started around 7am. The plane departed around 715am and we arrived at 823am (Ahead of Schedule)

After exiting the Airport, tricycle drivers kept on offering their services but we declined. While walking one driver asked us where we were going. I said Lotus Garden, then he said it was still 200 meters away. He also said it was just 8 pesos a person so we agreed.

A girl greeted us good morning when we arrived. I gave her my agoda voucher. While waiting she said for us to have coffee first while they prepare our room.

After 10 minutes they told us our room was already available. We were led to our room and the girl said the cable tv was out but they would check it. It was a charming room contrary to the complaints in TripAdvisor. What added more to its charm was the outdoor bathroom.

While my buddy took a nap i went out to Re-Explore Puerto Princesa on foot. I first went to the Cathedral. Took pictures of it again. And prayed and gave thanks for the blessings.

Just across the street was the Plaza Cuartel. Registered in their logbook then went around the park. The park is small, i probably spent less than 5 Minutes there.

Afterwards, i took pictures of the old houses near the Church. The office of the Cathedral is located inside one of those houses. I also saw a Pension houses in a old house too.

Next i went to the Palawan Museum. Entrance fee is P50. It is rather small but quite informative.

Returned to the Hotel and woke up my buddy. We got a tricycle to Haim Chicken Inato for lunch. Ordered Chicken Inato at P90 a plate.

After lunch we took a tricycle to the Market where we bought dried fish and pearls.

We went back to Lotus Garden afterwards. Put our purchases in the room then went out to check the motorcycles for rent at Yin Yang.

We settled with the Scooter which had a rate of 400 for 24 hours plus deposit of 1000 a day.

Our first stop was a Caltex Station. We filled up our ride with Fuel. 200 bucks worth and it was already enough for a full tank.

Next stop we went to a Church in Barangay Sicsican. The Divine Mercy Church. It looked newly built as it was still in the finishing stage. There was still no paint.

Next we went to Baker's Hill. Got some delicious Hopia and Cheese Cupcake. Their hopia there is affordable at just P50 a box.

Next stop was Barangay Manginigisda. We stopped at their Small Church located beside a school. Like the Cathedral it was also painted Blue.

After Mangingisda we went to Iwahig. We went to the Church of Iwahig then took some pictures of the buildings.

Next Stop was the Sta Monica Church. After visiting the Church the motorcycle slipped! We went falling down and luckily we were okay. So up we go and proceeded to Mercado San Miguel.

At Delma's bought 2 pairs of earrings for 70 and 50 for my santo. My buddy bought bracelets for his numerous Apos and Pamangkins.

Returned to the Hotel around 530pm. Rested and went to Kalui's which was just beside at 615pm (i made my reservations here after the Palawan Museum visit).

Dinner was delicious. Shrimps, Fish in Gata, Eggplant, grilled fish, kilawin amd shakes were served in succession. Our bill totalled P902.

Before returning to Lotus Garden we went to a Convenience store to buy sone bottled water. It was lights out by 8pm.

2nd Day - Honda Bay Island Hopping

We had breakfast at the hotel. Opted for the breakfast upgrade of 50 a person. Got the corned beef and lamuyo.

Breakfast was good. The corned beef actually tasted good and the lamuyo was not salty.

After breakfast we returned to the room to do last minute essentials. At 640am the hotel staff knocked on our room to inform us that our van for honda bay was there. I got my tour from Janejit Tours at 1200 a pax.

We first stopped at Garcellano Inn to pick up other guests. Then to Tenzai Pension for the remaining guests.

Before proceeding to Sta Lourdes Wharf we stopped at a Gear Shop. Got Shoes (150) and the mask for snorkelling (150) plus bread for fish feeding (20).

We boarded the banca to the 1st Island at 8:40am. We arrived at Starfish Island a little bit past 9am.

We went snorkelling and swimming. We also had an early lunch there. We had inihaw na liempo, grilled fish, eggplant, salted egg and banana.

Our Lunch at Star Fish Island

We left the island at 11:40am. Our next destination was Luli Island.

Luli Island is better for swimming as it is not rocky like Starfish Island. It is also good for snorkelling as there is an area where there are a lot of fish. We stayed there for an hour.

We went to Cowrie Island next and we stayed there till 2:30pm.

We were the last to be dropped off at our hotel. And after a few minutes we left for Robinsons. I looked for a postcard for Rafa and luckily there was a post office there too.

Next we went to Haplos ni Maria (Located in Green Valley) for Massage. We got the Whole body for 500.

After the massage we went to the steak restaurant we saw near Baker's Hill but it
was closed so we just went to Balinsasayaw along Rizal Avenue.

We ordered Buko Shake for drinks, sinuglaw, garlic shrimp, grilled tuna and chicken inasal.

Overall it was a Above Average dinner. The standout was the sinuglaw. Our total bill totalled 696 Pesos.

We returned our Motorcycle to Yin Yang and i got the deposit of 2000 back.

It was back to the hotel to call it a day.

3rd Day - Puerto to Manila

We had breakfast at 720am. Afterwards we checked out and got a tricycle to the Airport. Home sweet home again
